Had a nice weekend in Connecticut, skipped NYC to have a much more relaxing weekend :) Time to catch a little more sleep, then to reset my sleep schedule.

Captain Jerry and I are going to get the wedding license today... *squee* how surreal is that?!

All things piratey are going swimmingly. Went to Salem Wednesday, did some looking around at the park, thinking about set-up for the tables and grills and whatnot. Arrr... I thought the tables were rectangles (only 14 are) but the majority of them are circles, need to rethink table cloths. But other than that it looks beautiful there, all the flowers are in bloom and the park manager said by August 7th the entire gazebo area should be fully shaded by the flowers and vines... yay, one more area that will be a retreat from the hot August sunshine.

I can not believe 4 weeks from tomorrow I am going to be a wife!

Salem, home of the tourists

Spring in Salem...

• Pain in the ass driving (check)
• Tourists walking out into traffic (check)
• Impossible parking (check)
• The smell of popcorn and taffy at the Willows (check)
• Sun shinning on the water (check)
• Seagulls begging for food (check)
• Whale watching (not yet... but maybe)
• Sitting out on the rocks by the water (are you kidding?! the breeze coming off the water is far too chilly still)

I plan to be more of a tourist in my surroundings communities this year. There is so much to do and see here it is a shame to miss it all!
